Student Support
Our educational focus comes from the principle that each student is unique and has the potential to learn. We are committed to providing support, which includes all facets of growth, from academic performance to socioemotional development.
We have offered a wide spectrum of programs and initiatives that include:
- Remedial support in core academic foundational skills and executive functioning skills.
- In-class support through collaborative problem-solving and systematic collaboration with school teachers.
- Occupational therapy.
- Speech and language therapy.
- UDL (Universal Design for Learning) semester workshops for teachers.
- A Jugar A: A stimulation kindergarten program led by internal therapists and offered throughout the school year.
- PIAR (Plan Individual de Ajustes Razonables) implementation laying out individual programs, instruction, reasonable adjustments and support for students to make progress, for their participation and permanence.
Through professional therapists, Clusters teachers, inclusion teachers, and its facilitators, Student Support continues to promote an inclusive community that has evolved to meet the changing and alternative needs of its members.
Student Support works collaboratively with families and external professionals to maintain viable partnerships for the support and development of students, not only to address learning differences, but also maturation, adaptation and educational dimensions.
