Lower school is a place that values creating a safe, caring, inclusive community where students can let their creativity shine through our quarterly PBL/STEM projects. We value a low student – teacher ratio of 14 -1 or less depending on the grade level. We differentiate across all curriculums so students have tailored lessons to meet their individual needs as well as small group instruction for more focused care.
In lower school, we understand the importance of collaboration, and so we have provided each classroom with a co-teaching model. Teachers collaborate both in their partnerships and on their prospective teams when they plan weekly by grade level, growing ideas off of each other. With our students, we know this is a skill necessary for their success in the future, and that’s why you’ll see our students working in groups the majority of time, communicating and problem solving together.
We hope that school is fun, all kids feel significant, have a sense of belonging, and they develop the necessary academic and social skills to be successful in whatever endeavors they may have in the future.
